Establishing Culture
Another idea... Every issued item that has a student's name on it, also has their graduation class on it too. (So instead of just name, 6th grade, Ms. Jones' Homeroom, they put name and year they will graduate. Advisory assignments are split alphabetically so you basically still have the same info - but always are reminding students (and parents) to begin with end in mind.)
It just struck me as such a simple thing that can have a major cultural impact and thought I would share it with you since you are starting to plan for next year.... add your school logo or motto too!
